Clear allTwo highways shape the wedding map in this corner of the valley. The Melba Highway carries guests north from Yering Station through Yarra Glen to the Dixons Creek estates, while the Maroondah Highway heads east through Coldstream, where Levantine Hill Estate and Rochford Wines sit at neighbouring addresses. Side roads such as St Huberts Road, Gulf Road and Steels Creek Road hold the quieter, hedged and gated properties.
Receptions range from a micro wedding of 30 at Eden Yarra Valley to a 250-seat banquet hall at Levantine Hill Estate. Many of these estates also host the ceremony on their own grounds, so guests can stay put from the vows to the last dance.
Sorting the region's reception rooms by headcount:
Rochford Wines prices its functions from $49 per person, and The Barrel Room's canapé packages come from $70 per person. At the top end, Stones of the Yarra Valley's packages from $295 per person fold in the ceremony and drinks, while Immerse Winery and Harriett @ Hubert Estate send their packages on enquiry.

Eden Yarra Valley arranges micro weddings for up to 30 by special request, with the ceremony in the garden or indoors. Coombe Yarra Valley's Private Dining Room seats 26 at a single table, and Melba's Gallery, warmed by an open fireplace, seats up to 40.
Acacia Ridge Winery gives the wedding party its 1850s Miners Hut for the day, fitted with couches, climate control and a bathroom – a place to rest rather than stay overnight. Immerse Winery shuts the property to everyone else from the moment the ceremony starts.
The Banquet Hall in Levantine Hill Estate's separate winery building takes 250 seated, and the building can hold 500 for cocktails with permits. Rochford Wines has spaces for up to 500 across its two restaurants, and Harriett @ Hubert Estate manages 350 standing.
Zonzo Estate's Cappella chapel is built for it, Acacia Ridge Winery moves the ceremony into the glass-walled Vine Room, and Yering Station uses its Historic Barn. Yarra Valley Estate keeps an indoor spot by its windows for wet days.
