About Locale @ De Bortoli Yarra Valley
Locale is the restaurant on De Bortoli's Yarra Valley estate on Pinnacle Lane at Dixons Creek. Its name and its food both come from the family's Italian roots, and the dining room looks straight out over the vines. The room seats up to 100 people, and the team takes both small groups and full-room events. Outside there are terraced areas and heated balconies where guests can gather for drinks before sitting down. The kitchen cooks Italian-inspired dishes around seasonal and local produce, some of it grown on the estate. Handmade pasta and risotto are always on the menu, and function menus are shaped to the size of each group. For corporate lunches, private functions and Christmas parties, groups of more than 10 can add a private wine tasting in the cellar door before or after the meal, subject to availability. Beverage packages are put together to suit the group. Weddings take in the landscaped gardens or the cellar door for the ceremony, then roaming canapés and a seated reception in the restaurant. Couples choose between a shared Italian feast and plated service, with a dance floor and in-house sound for the evening. What is included in a wedding reception at Locale?
A wedding covers a garden or cellar door ceremony with an arbour, red carpet aisle and 40 white chairs, then roaming canapés and drinks before a seated reception for up to 100. You choose a shared Italian feast or plated meals, and the cake is cut and served with barista coffee and tea. For the evening there is a tiled floor for dancing, the venue's own speakers and a microphone, plus a private retreat room for the bridal party.
What extras can be added to a wedding?
Optional extras include a seafood and oyster station, grazing and charcuterie tables, a cocktail station, a gelato bar and a champagne tower. A recovery breakfast the morning after can also be arranged.
Is there parking and outdoor space for guests?
Yes. On-site parking is complimentary for wedding guests, and the restaurant has terraced outdoor areas and heated balconies for drinks before the meal.
