About Acacia Ridge Winery

Acacia Ridge is a family-run vineyard on Gulf Road in Yarra Glen, with views over the vines towards the Great Dividing Range. Its wines are made under contract by local specialist winemakers, and the property is set up for weddings from ceremony to last dance. Ceremonies take place at the end of a long brick aisle facing the vineyard, or inside the Vine Room when the weather turns. The Vine Room has floor-to-ceiling glass and climate control, and it becomes the dance floor once the reception is under way. Receptions are held in a permanent marquee with a clear roof, chandeliers, fairy lights and flowers all year round. It seats up to 200 guests or holds 280 for a cocktail-style wedding, and a rustic barn with an open fireplace greets guests as they arrive. The wedding party has the 1850s Miners Hut to themselves for the event, fitted out with timber, couches, climate control and a bathroom. It is a place to rest between photos rather than somewhere to stay overnight. Packages cover six hours of venue hire with a five-hour drinks package, and couples choose a cocktail, shared feasting or two-course plated menu. Multicultural weddings are welcome, including Kosher and Indian celebrations, and cultural weddings can bring in specialist caterers for a kitchen fee. An event manager coordinates the day, and suppliers can usually get in from midday. Send an enquiry to check dates and arrange a look around.

Catered wedding packages run from $210 to $250 per person depending on the season and year, with peak season from October to April. Venue hire of $2,000 or $2,500 is added, and an on-site ceremony costs $250 or $350.

Minimum numbers depend on the day: 50 adults Monday to Wednesday, 80 on Thursday, 100 on Friday and Sunday, and 120 on Saturday. Cultural weddings using outside caterers are priced from $120 to $150 per person plus venue hire, with a $500 kitchen fee for the external caterer.

Food

Couples choose a cocktail-style menu, a shared feasting menu or two individually plated courses. Kosher and Indian weddings are catered for, cakeage is complimentary, and add-ons include plated or canapé-style dessert, late-night snacks, vendor meals and children's meals.

Beverages

Every package includes a five-hour drinks package of wine, beer and soft drinks, served by RSA staff, and couples may supply their own spirits to be poured within it at no charge. Welcome cocktails, a champagne tower and a longer drinks service can be added, and alcohol-free packages are priced on request.

Availability

Weddings run seven days, with minimum guest numbers set by the day of the week. The venue opens by appointment only, so send an enquiry to arrange a visit.
