A stretch Hummer is a party room on wheels: lights, a loud sound system and enough seats to keep the whole group together between the house, the venue and wherever the night ends. In Melbourne it's what groups book for formals, 18ths and 21sts, hens and bucks nights, and plenty of weddings.
Colour and size are where the four operators differ. Mr Hummer Limos runs H2 stretches for 12 to 18 in gold, pink, black or white, plus a white H4 with jet doors for 24. Triple Hummer Limos has a black stretch for 24 and a 16-seater in black or white. Hummer X Limousines offers black and pink Hummers, including a super stretch with three bars for 18, and Superior Limousines has black or white stretches for 14, 16 or 20.
Three of the four travel to every Melbourne region; Superior Limousines works the Inner West and Western Suburbs. Prices are by quote.
Things to sort out when you enquire:
Heading somewhere after the ride? Browse birthday party venues or the 18th birthday party planning page.
Yes. Mr Hummer Limos has a pink Hummer with a disco floor, disco ball and three screens, and Hummer X Limousines also runs a pink stretch.
Up to 24. Mr Hummer Limos' white H4 super stretch and Triple Hummer Limos' black stretch both seat 24.
All four do. Superior Limousines works the Inner West and Western Suburbs only, while Mr Hummer Limos, Triple Hummer Limos and Hummer X Limousines travel to every region.
All four operators list school formals among their bookings. Triple Hummer Limos only serves its champagne to guests aged 18 and over, so mention the group's ages when you enquire.
Mr Hummer Limos' white H4 super stretch has jet doors and seats up to 24, and the operator lists 21sts among its bookings.
