Having A Party - marquee hire in the Yarra Valley

Ringwood hire company delivering frame marquees, tables, chairs, dance floors and lighting to Yarra Valley weddings, parties and functions.

What to Know Before Booking Audio Visual Hire

Lighting decides how a Yarra Valley celebration feels once the sun drops behind the ranges. The hire supplier listed for valley AV and lighting is a Ringwood event hire company that brings lighting and effects to marquees and properties across the area.

Sound is usually handled by whoever runs the music, so check what the DJ or band brings before hiring speakers.

Lighting and effects to consider:

Fairy lights, lanterns and chandeliers for a marquee roof or a tree line
A coloured roof wash to change the mood after dinner
Spots, mirror balls and lasers for the dance floor
Smoke, snow and bubble machines for the first dance or the farewell
Prices are quoted with the order, so list the gear and the site when enquiring

Check the estate's rules on smoke and haze machines, as some venues have sensitive fire alarms. For a marquee on a property, plan where generators or power leads will run before the lighting is designed.

Map power points before choosing heavy lighting for a marquee
Use outdoor-rated leads and covers for anything on the lawn
Light paths, steps and car parks for guests leaving after dark
Ask whether the venue already has dance-floor lighting

Bringing it together

DJs usually supply sound and microphones
Marquee hire and lighting from one company simplifies set-up
Coordinate cue times for effects with the MC or DJ
Ask for an evening set-up check if timing allows

AV Hire: Your Questions Answered

Where can we hire event lighting in the Yarra Valley?

The hire company listed here supplies fairy lights, chandeliers, roof washes and dance-floor effects for valley events.

Usually not. Your DJ or band normally brings the sound system and microphones.

Are smoke machines allowed at winery venues?

Some estates restrict them because of fire alarms. Check with the venue first.

What does lighting hire cost?

It is quoted per order. Send your gear list, site and date for a price.

Can lighting be set up in a marquee?

Yes, lighting is often hired with the marquee so the same crew installs both.
