Yarra Valley Estate sits on 120 acres of native bush, wetlands and gardens along the Melba Highway at Dixons Creek. It has hosted conferences, weddings and private celebrations for more than 30 years, and the whole property can be reserved for a single group. Receptions and dinners are held in a timber-accented dining hall that seats 150 or takes 180 for a stand-up event. It has a full dance floor, fairy lights, a bar and an outside deck, with a lawn set up with games for pre-dinner drinks. Ceremonies can take place in the open-air chapel, beside the wetlands, in the sculpture gardens or in front of the windows indoors if the weather turns. Dogs are welcome at the ceremony. For business groups there are six meeting spaces, led by Wedgetail, which takes 200 theatre-style and has its own kitchenette and wrap-around veranda. Smaller rooms such as Falcon, Harrier, Kestrel and Jacana suit workshops, while the Garden Room opens onto the lawn and has a bar. The kitchen uses produce from the estate's own Edible Forest and vegetable gardens, with canapés, shared feasts, wood-fired pizza and plated dinners on the menu. Drinks are served through packages of local wine and beer. Birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties, family reunions, team days and end-of-year parties are all hosted alongside weddings.
