A limousine on the Gold Coast is often less about getting across town and more about the arrival: pulling up at a surf club reception, a Surfers Paradise hotel or a formal at a function centre with everyone watching. The choice is wider than the traditional white stretch, too, and the right one depends on how many people are in the party and how much attention they want.
Groups of two or four can look at an executive sedan, while larger groups need a stretch car or a Sprinter with limo seating.
Points to weigh up before you call:
Expect a quote based on your route and hours rather than a set price. If the group outgrows a limo, compare stretch Hummers or a party bus, and see all party transport to weigh them side by side.

It depends on the car. Limo-style vehicles here run from sedans for two or three to Sprinters seating 13 and larger stretches beyond that. Ask about comfortable seating in formal clothes rather than the legal maximum.
Hotel pick-ups are routine. High-rise entrances can be busy, so ask the concierge about the correct place to wait and give the chauffeur the tower name, not only the street.
Check with the operator first, because hinterland coverage is narrower than on the coast. Also ask whether a long vehicle suits the road and entrance at your venue, and how the return is priced.
It is a common choice, and operators are used to students and parents. Ask about their formal rules, a home pick-up for photos and who is responsible for getting the group home.
Hours, the vehicle, the time of year and how far it travels to reach you. Some charge from the depot, others from first pick-up, so ask each company to spell that out so that you compare like with like.
