Graduation Party Newcastle

A graduation party usually brings two crowds together: the family who came for the gowns and the ceremony photos, and the friends who came for the celebration afterwards. The suppliers listed for Newcastle graduation parties cover the two things that bridge them, music and pictures, and both travel to wherever you hold it.

Avid Entertainment is a North Lambton DJ agency playing open-format sets around Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, so the playlist can open with something the grandparents know and finish somewhere louder. It also offers MC hosting, handy when there's a toast to the graduate, and a briefed back-up DJ steps in if your DJ is unwell.

Another Shot Photo Booth is a retro open-air booth from Islington, set up by a Newcastle wedding photographer with DSLR quality and studio flash. An attendant runs it with props, guests take home unlimited 2 x 6 inch strips, and an edited online gallery follows after the event. Packages start from $695.

Before you book either, have these ready:

• The venue's address, as Another Shot Photo Booth includes travel within 50 km
• How long the party runs, since its packages go from three to five hours
• Whether you want someone on the microphone for speeches as well as a DJ
• A rough guest count, so the music and the booth suit the room
