A bucks do on the Gold Coast usually has a day half and a night half, and the venue slots in between. Most groups fill the daylight with something physical, then want a room with food, a bar and space to stay together. Booking a function area, even a small one, stops the group from being turned away at the door or scattered across three pubs.
The rooms that take bucks groups differ more than you might expect. A brewery in Arundel, a three-level pub in Surfers and a whole golf simulator in Burleigh are three separate nights.
Pick the venue around what the group will actually do:
Fill the day with go-karts, paintball or a bucks party boat, and see the bucks party planners if you would rather hand the whole thing over. The bucks party guide has more ideas for the weekend.

Plenty welcome them when they know in advance. Be upfront when booking, because a group that shows up unannounced in matching shirts may be turned away, particularly around Surfers Paradise.
A brewery room, golf simulator or beachside tavern gives the group something to do besides a dance floor. They also suit a mixed crowd with dads and uncles, who may want an earlier finish.
That depends on the deal. Small lounges suit a group of around 25, and larger rooms come with a higher minimum spend. Ask what the smallest number is before you lock in a date.
Allow from about $35 per person for a package at a pub, then add a day activity, transport and accommodation. A minimum-spend room can work out cheaper per head with a larger crew.
Surfers Paradise is easier for a big late night, and Burleigh Heads or Tugun are more relaxed. Pick your accommodation first, then book a venue close to it, so nobody is stranded across town.
