A Peninsula hens day is usually built around wine. Groups book a long lunch or a tasting at a hinterland cellar door, then finish at a pub or brewpub nearer the bay, often staying the night in a rented house in one of the beach towns.
The list for hens is small so far, with six venues, so it's worth reading every one before you narrow it down. Most will happily take a group of ten to thirty for a set menu and a private or semi-private table.
What a hens booking tends to cost:
Transport is the part to sort first. The cellar doors are spread out across the hinterland and taxis are scarce, so a booked minibus or coach between stops, and back to your accommodation, keeps the day relaxed and safe.
Send a couple of venues an enquiry with your group size and date to compare menus and timing. There's no fee or commission through Party Hero, so the price you're quoted comes straight from the venue.

The few venues that list a price sit between about $40 and $80 a head, with around $50 common. Wine tastings, drinks packages and private room fees can add to that.
It's strongly recommended, because the wineries are spread out and taxis are hard to find in the hinterland. A minibus or coach also keeps the group together between stops.
Two or three is plenty, given the driving between the hinterland and the bay. A long lunch plus one later stop gives everyone time to relax.
Most venues are fine with sashes, small table decorations and a cake, though some charge for cutting it. Check about confetti and anything that needs to be stuck down.
Some venues offer a private room, while others set the group at a reserved table in the main dining area. Ask which you'll get and whether there's a minimum spend for privacy.
Several months ahead for a summer weekend, when both venues and holiday houses fill. Spring and autumn weekends are a little easier and still have good weather.
