Hollybrook Hunter Valley runs its Art N Sip painting classes from a farm on Wollombi Road at Sweetmans Creek, in the Cessnock & Wollombi end of the Hunter. A host guides the session from a blank canvas to a finished piece, guests pour their own wine, and every painting leaves with whoever painted it.
The classes are adults-only, which shapes who books them: hens and bridal-shower groups, friends marking a 30th, 40th or 50th, reunions, and work teams after something sociable that isn't a sport. Prices start From $88 per person.
The class also comes in two other formats. Groups of 8 or more can take a private Art N Sip High Tea, which adds bubbles and tiered sweet and savoury treats to the painting. For a longer outing, a four-hour vineyard edition runs at Greenway Wines in Broke, with a wine tasting and a charcuterie spread built in, so the group gets its cellar-door visit and its art class in one booking.
Choosing between the formats:
A class slots neatly into a hens party weekend, and there are plenty more group activities across the valley to fill the rest of the day.

A host guides the whole group through the painting at Hollybrook Hunter Valley, so everyone paints along together rather than working alone.
