About The London Hotel
The London Hotel has stood on Darling Street in Balmain since 1870, which makes it one of the longest-trading pubs in Sydney. Downstairs there is a jarrah timber bar built by hand in the 1980s refurbishment, taps pouring independent craft beer alongside Guinness and Coopers, and a front balcony with views to the Harbour Bridge. Functions happen on level one, in two private rooms. The Upstairs Bar holds around 60 people, with seating for about 38, and comes with a staffed bar of its own plus a pair of big TV screens. The Lounge next to it takes around 65, with seating for about 40. Open both and the floor fits roughly 120 guests with a mix of seating and standing. Either option comes with staff looking after your group exclusively. You can plug your own music into the in-house sound system, there is a microphone for speeches, and a laptop is needed if you want to show visuals. Food is a per-person canapé menu mixing hot and cold canapés with hot finger food and desserts, and the head chef can talk through dietary needs. Choose canapés for at least 30 people and there is no room hire; book a room without them and a $500 charge applies per room. A bar tab can be set up for drinks.

Spent a Sunday afternoon at the pub. The Sunday Roast is fantastic. Old school Reschs on tap and the wine list is reasonably priced. Over indulged with a side of chips with curry sauce - delicious!
