About Vela Dining & Bar
Vela Dining & Bar sits on d'Albora Marina inside Cabarita Park, around 15 kilometres from the city, with a 270-degree outlook over Sydney Harbour and the Parramatta River. It is run by the events company Sparkling & Co, and getting there is flexible: a ferry and bus stop are a few minutes away, there is plenty of parking in the park, and guests can come by boat and tie up at the marina's visitor berth. There are two spaces. Vela Dining is the air-conditioned restaurant, seating up to 80 or 90 guests, or clearing for a cocktail party of up to 160. Vela Bar is the alfresco cocktail bar alongside, which takes up to 80 for a standing event or pre-dinner drinks. Both can be booked exclusively, and for bigger numbers the team can put up a marquee in the adjoining parkland or on the marina boardwalk, at extra cost. Exclusive-use cocktail parties run from $69 per person for three hours of canapés, up to a deluxe package at $110. Plated exclusive-use packages are $95 per person for two courses or $105 for three, and group lunches or dinners without a buyout start at $78.90 per person for two courses. Drinks packages start at $25 per person, or you can drink on consumption with a $30 per person minimum spend. Exclusive-use events need at least 50 guests, carry a 5% service fee and must finish by midnight. A $500 deposit confirms group bookings, and the events team can add DJs, flowers, theming and cake.
