About The London Hotel Paddington
The London Hotel has stood on the corner of Underwood and William streets in Paddington since 1875, making it the suburb's oldest pub. It keeps a traditional pub feel, with live sport on the screens, weekly specials, a Friday DJ and outdoor seating where dogs are welcome. Allianz Stadium and the SCG are within easy walking distance, so it fills up before and after big games. There are four function areas, taking groups of 20 to 150 for lunch or dinner on any day. On the entry level, the Courtyard sits under a glass ceiling and holds 50 seated or 60 standing. Upstairs, the Underwood Room has windows on two sides and seats 18 to 30 at one long table, or 50 standing, with a small covered extension that seats another 10. The William Room looks down over William Street and takes 50 seated or 70 standing. For bigger parties, the Upstairs Exclusive gives you the whole upper floor for a minimum of 100 guests. From Monday to Sunday, bookings of 35 or more carry a $600 minimum spend on food. Friday and Saturday minimum spends on food and drink are $3,000 for the Underwood Room, $4,000 for the William Room, $5,000 for the Courtyard and $7,000 for the Upstairs Exclusive. A separate function food menu is available, and the functions team sends a full functions pack on request. The Courtyard isn't available on major sporting nights.
