About The Grand Bondi Junction
The Grand, also known as the Grand Hotel, is a local pub at 89 Ebley Street in Bondi Junction. After a full refit it runs a bistro, a sports bar and family dining areas, and it has a separate function space for birthdays, engagement parties, farewells, office parties, Christmas parties, christenings, fundraisers and wakes. Parties go in the Lower Bar, which has no room hire charge. It has a private bar, a private entrance, its own smoking area, LED screens and an integrated music system, and the function room offers free Wi-Fi. Private hire comes with a $1,000 minimum spend on the bar, with food charged separately. Music options vary with the space you book, and the team invites you to come in and look at the function areas before deciding. Food is ordered as trays and platters, each designed to serve around 20 people. Canapé trays include truffle arancini, fish and chip boats, beef sliders, fried chicken wings, teriyaki chicken skewers and salt and pepper squid, from $80 to $120. Platters cover seafood, a party mix of sausage rolls, pies and quiche, fruit, spring rolls and dim sims, and charcuterie. Vegetarian and vegan options are available on request. Drinks can run as a tab, or guests can buy their own at the bar.

Is there a room hire fee for the Lower Bar?

What food can we order?

How much deposit is needed?
A 25% deposit secures the booking. Cancelling three weeks ahead gets a full refund, food choices must be confirmed at least seven days before, and food is paid for before the function starts.
Can we bring a birthday cake?
Yes, a celebration cake is welcome. Any other outside catering is not allowed.
Is security needed for a 21st?
Larger bookings and 21st birthday parties may need security, charged at $70 an hour per guard for a minimum of four hours.

Tried the Sunday roast here for the first time and I can’t believe it took me so long. Best roast I’ve had in Sydney! Everything was 10/10 and it’s good value, especially compared to other places around.

The venue is new and modern. The food was great. The steak is good value especially on Monday $22… it comes with chips and salad as well . Overall, I’m very happy with my experience dining here.
