About Civico 47
Civico 47 is a modern Italian restaurant on the corner of Windsor and Elizabeth Streets in Paddington, in the eastern suburbs. Executive chef Matteo Zamboni runs a kitchen built on seasonal produce and handmade pasta, with dishes that keep to Italian tradition while drawing on Australian ingredients. Lunch is served Thursday to Saturday and dinner Tuesday to Saturday. The restaurant has two connected sides that can be booked separately or together. The Front Dining Room looks over the street corner and holds the bar, seating 16 for a meal or 20 for drinks and canapés. The Main Dining Area is larger and flexible, seating up to 38, and can be split to take groups of around 20. Hire the whole restaurant and up to 50 guests can sit down together. There is also outdoor seating out front when the weather suits, and a semi-private area is offered on request. Any group of seven or more orders from one of three share menus, priced at $95, $125 and $185 per person. The entry menu runs from focaccia and pork terrine through crudo, rigatoni and lamb, while the top menu adds oysters, rock lobster spaghetti and dry-aged rib eye. Drinks go on the bill as they are poured, and a 10% function service charge is added to group bookings. BYO wine is allowed at lunch and on Thursday nights for $25 a bottle, and a cake can be brought in place of dessert for $7 per person. The team will mark a birthday or anniversary at dessert if you note it in the booking.
