About Lorraine's Bistro
Lorraine's Bistro takes up Level 1 of the Robin Hood Hotel on Bronte Road in Waverley, at Charing Cross. It trades as a French-inspired bistro from 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and doubles as the pub's function floor, hosting engagements, milestone birthdays, weddings, corporate nights, end-of-year parties, bar and bat mitzvahs and wakes. A ramp entrance on Bronte Road and a lift make it wheelchair accessible. Booked exclusively, the whole floor takes up to 200 standing or 130 seated. Within it are several rooms that can be hired on their own. The Atrium, under a glass roof that fills it with daylight, holds 80 seated or 120 standing and has its own audio-visual set-up. The Private Dining Room seats 36 or fits 45 standing, the Terrace takes 14 seated or 30 standing with a roof that can open to the sky, and Little Lorraines, a small side room, seats 25 or holds 40. The smaller rooms can be joined together. Function menus run from a $45 lunch package through shared set menus, canapé packages and burger, Italian, poke and Middle Eastern buffets, with most dishes marked for common dietaries. Drinks can be a timed package or a bar tab with a limit you set. Every booking includes set-up and pack-down, furniture and tableware, bar and floor staff, the music system, TVs, microphones, DJ inputs and the installed party lights. The venue is licensed until 2am from Thursday to Saturday and 10pm on Sundays.
