About Terry's Karaoke & Piano Bar
Terry's Karaoke & Piano Bar sits on Point Nepean Road in the centre of Rye. Owners Daniel and Effie named it after their grandfather, and the venue is dressed with his old records, instruments and newspaper clippings for a sixties feel. Out the back are six private karaoke rooms, each soundproofed and fitted with a high-end karaoke system, screens and a catalogue of thousands of songs. Interiors run to velvet seating and luxury finishes, and drinks are brought straight to the room. Standard rooms suit groups of up to eight. The group room, with its chandelier and high-definition screens, takes 10 to 25 guests and comes with dedicated in-room service, which makes it the room for milestone birthdays and bigger groups. At the front, the piano bar opens on Friday and Saturday nights from 6pm, with pianists playing requests from across the decades. Groups wanting space in the bar can enquire to reserve it before 7.30pm. Every booking has a two-hour minimum, and rooms can be booked from midday every day. Dinner can be brought in from outside until 8pm, while drinks come from a list of cocktails, mocktails and Mornington Peninsula wines, beers and spirits. After 8pm the venue is for adults only, so evening sessions suit hens nights, work parties and birthday groups. Send an enquiry to set up a special event or a time that isn't showing as available.
