About Montalto
Montalto is a vineyard estate on Shoreham Road in Red Hill South, with a restaurant, the casual Piazza, a cellar door, three acres of kitchen gardens and a sculpture trail through the vines. Its functions team handles groups from about 15 people up to 130. The Restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the vines, gardens and sculptures, with Western Port visible in the distance. It seats 90 or holds 130 for a standing event. Within it sits the Private Dining Room, closed off by glass bi-fold doors and seating 30. It has its own deck over the vines for drinks before or after the meal. The Piazza Garden Room is an undercover outdoor space beside the kitchen gardens, seating about 30 for a shared grazing menu, with heaters and sliding screens for cooler days. The Alto room at the cellar door hosts weekday tastings with share plates for up to 25. Seated events in the restaurant use a signature set menu of ten dishes over four courses, cooked from estate and Peninsula produce. Three beverage packages cover sparkling, whites, reds, beer and cider, or the bar can run on consumption. Send an enquiry to the functions team to check dates and minimum spends for your preferred space.
