About Dee Why Bowling Club

Dee Why Bowling Club is a community bowls club at 223 Fisher Road North in Dee Why. Alongside its weekly trivia and bistro, it hires out its indoor and outdoor areas for birthdays, work functions and bowls days, and the team will shape a package around the group size and budget. Outside, the club has two bowling greens served by an outdoor bar, which together take up to 150 guests. Hire of the green area is $300 for one to three hours, or from $500 for longer, and exclusive use of the outdoor bar costs $250 for up to three hours plus $50 for each extra hour. Downstairs, the Bowls Bar is the private option: a cosy room with its own bar, close to the greens, fitting 40 for a standing party or 20 at tables. It is priced from $250 for up to three hours, or from $450 beyond that. Most groups add a game. Barefoot bowls runs for 90 minutes at $15 per person, and the club supplies the gear. Food comes as platters ordered ahead: bread and dips, cheese, charcuterie, sandwiches, sushi, sliders, spring rolls, prawn cutlets, arancini, oysters and prawns, plus mixed Asian and Aussie hot platters and sweet trays. Picnic boxes for four to ten people suit a lazy afternoon on the green and need four days' notice.

We recently held our son’s third birthday party at Dee Why Bowling Club and had such a wonderful experience. We hired an area and organised the catering through the club. Everything ran so smoothly, and we received so ma…

Very disappointing experience. They never answer the phone, which made it difficult to organise anything. We were hoping to celebrate a mate’s 30th with a casual barefoot bowls booking on a Saturday at 1pm, but were told…

Rules changed to 9pm closing on weekdays and 10pm on weekends, can’t even watch a full footy game on a Thursday. Ridiculous

Went on a Friday and were told the kitchen would open at 5.30. This hasn’t been the case previously, but okay we waited. Went up at 5.30 and tables were already digging into pizza’s, chicken wings, and snitties. Then, wh…
