About Penny Main Bar @ Pennys Potts Point
The main drinking area at Pennys, on Bayswater Road in Potts Point, is Penny Main Bar. Its centrepiece is a curved service counter finished in tiles, set against a geometric tiled feature wall. Floors in a terrazzo style, timber beams left bare across the ceiling and pendant lights hung low keep it tight and modern, with no leaning on old-pub nostalgia. Capacity is 100 standing or 60 seated. There are stools at high tables, a small dance floor and PA speakers built in. Your own playlist or an outside DJ is fine as long as noise stays within the venue's limits, and the space has accessible toilets, wheelchair access, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. To be clear, this is a semi-private area and not a closed room. Your group has the bar while the rest of the venue carries on around you, which works better for work drinks or a lively birthday than for a formal dinner.
