The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club sits on Mitala Street in Newport, right on the edge of Pittwater. The club has a long sailing history and runs its own marina, so events here come with boats, water and sunset views close at hand. Several rooms are available for functions, and each one faces the water. The main function space is the Pittwater Room, with its own bar and room for 200 seated or 280 standing, and it can be split into two smaller spaces. The Admiral's Cup Room suits groups of up to 50, opens onto balconies on two sides and has its own bar. Outside, the covered Terrace takes lunch or evening events for roughly 40 to 90 people and has its own sound system. The Edinburgh Lounge, with a fireplace and a balcony over the water, works well for pre-dinner drinks, and the Bollards Room gives a wedding party somewhere private to get ready. The club's own kitchen caters every function, with options running from a formal set menu to a relaxed cocktail party, buffet or barbecue. Menus follow the seasons, and the team can handle special dietary needs. Drinks are served through premium, standard or custom packages, and the club is fully licensed. Rooms come with a microphone, speakers and lectern, a dance floor and small stage are available, and the Pittwater Room has a ceiling projector and screen. Weddings, corporate functions, conferences and team-building days are all hosted here, and a coordinator helps plan the details.
