About Commercial Hotel Parramatta
Commercial Hotel Parramatta has stood on the corner of Hassall Street in the Parramatta CBD for more than a century. Its interior pairs the original lacework balconies with a large sunlit beer garden, a bistro dining area and bars spread through the building. Live sport plays on screens across the pub, and DJs and acoustic acts perform most weeks. Functions use two dedicated areas. The Lounge Bar has old-fashioned charm, with a fireplace, lounge seating, its own private bar and a heated wraparound balcony with wrought-iron railings looking over the business district; it takes groups from 15 up to 200. The Verandah Bar is the larger option, with its own bar, lounge and dining seating, a deck and an outlook across the whole pub, and it holds from 15 to 500 for big cocktail parties, anniversaries and work events. Both areas have an in-house music system with a DJ input, several TV screens and lift access. The function menu covers light and premium canapés such as bruschetta, arancini, oysters and lamb skewers, party classics like pies and sausage rolls, sliders, mini meals, desserts and share platters, including a seafood platter and a metre-long pizza board. Drinks can run on a bar tab set to your budget or on a package, and the team can also organise DJs, photo booths and balloons. A deposit of half the minimum spend secures the date. The venue does not host 18th birthdays, bucks parties or hens parties.
