About The Bayview

The Bayview is an events venue on Pier 8/9 at Walsh Bay, in the heritage wharf buildings on Hickson Road in Millers Point. Its windows look over the water towards the Harbour Bridge, and the interior keeps the timber floors and exposed beams of the old pier. Inside there is seating for 200 guests, with another 48 seats outdoors, and the venue holds up to 500 for a standing event. Layouts change to suit the occasion: long banquet tables, round dining, cocktail style or theatre seating, and full buyouts give a group the whole venue to itself. Weddings, corporate functions, product launches and private celebrations such as milestone birthdays and anniversaries all run here. End-of-year and Christmas parties are a regular part of the calendar, and the venue can arrange live bands, DJs, a dance floor and mood lighting. Catering is handled by the in-house kitchen. Function menus start with two courses and move up to three, with shared platters to add such as antipasto, mezze, grilled meats and seafood, and canapé packages run from two to eight pieces per guest. Drinks packages run for two, three or four hours, from a house list of prosecco and wine to options with beer and house spirits, and welcome drinks can be added. For presentations and speeches there are screens, projectors, microphones, a sound system and Wi-Fi. Pricing

Function packages start at $70 per person for two courses and $90 per person for three courses. Shared platters can be added from $18 per person, and canapé packages start at $16 per person for two pieces, rising to $58 per person for eight.

Drinks packages are priced separately, and welcome drinks can be added for $10 per person.

The in-house kitchen offers seated set menus, buffets and cocktail-style canapés. Entrées and mains include dishes such as stracciatella bruschetta, buffalo calamari and grilled steak, and shared platters cover antipasto, mezze, vegetarian, grill and seafood options.

The canapé list has vegetarian and vegan, seafood, chicken, beef and cured meat selections. Dietary requirements can be catered for.
