About Lauriston House
Lauriston House is a function centre set inside a Victorian mansion on Marsden Road in Dundas Valley. The house dates from the 1880s and is heritage listed, and it sits in landscaped grounds with lawns, a fountain and a gazebo that couples and groups use for outdoor ceremonies and photos. The venue takes one event at a time, so whoever books has the house and gardens to themselves. Functions are held in the reception room, a high-ceilinged space with ornate detailing, crystal chandeliers and a white starlight dance floor. It seats up to 200 guests for a sit-down meal and holds around 350 for a cocktail-style event. A foyer, a powder room, a bridal suite and an outdoor terrace overlooking the gardens round out the house, and there is plenty of on-site parking. All food is cooked by the in-house chefs, and dietary needs such as vegetarian, gluten-free or diabetic meals are handled without an extra charge. Packages are built around a three-course meal served alternately, bread rolls, percolated coffee and tea, and unlimited table-served beer, Australian wine and soft drinks. The Christmas party and school formal packages add a DJ with lighting and sound, and formal bookings include a projector, screen, lectern and roving microphone. Corporate clients can arrange audiovisual equipment and on-site technical support. Pricing for each package is sent on request, so ask the events team for the Christmas, formal or corporate pack when you enquire.
