About Melt & Make
Melt & Make is a chocolate-making studio on the Kingsway in Caringbah, run by the creators of Essenze Chocolate. The bright workshop space has long marble benches, tempering machines and room for 10 to 30 people, and it hosts scheduled classes, kids workshops and private events. For a hens party, birthday, baby shower or team building session, the custom workshop is the one to book. The team shapes the content around the group, from a relaxed, social session to more detailed technique, and typical activities include tempering milk or dark chocolate, piping and decorating truffles, dipping strawberries, making caramel clusters and moulding a chocolate bar with toppings. Everything the group makes is packaged to take home. Instructors guide complete beginners through each step, and more confident cooks can push into colouring and moulded bonbons. All materials and aprons are provided; guests just need closed shoes and something to tie hair back. Adult sessions are for ages 15 and up, with separate workshops for children. There is no parking on site, but unrestricted street parking on Willarong Road and nearby council car parks are close by. Anyone with a food allergy should contact the studio before booking, because the kitchen also processes nuts, milk and soy. Sunday functions carry a 10% surcharge, and cancellations within seven days of the date are not refunded.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a private chocolate workshop?
Custom workshops for hens parties, birthdays and corporate groups are priced from $90 to $130 per person, depending on what the group wants to make. Sundays attract a 10% surcharge.
What will we make?
Workshops cover tempering chocolate, piping and decorating truffles, dipping strawberries and moulding bars, and the content can be tailored. Everything you make is yours to take home.
Do we need to bring anything?
No. Materials and aprons are provided. Wear comfortable closed shoes and bring something to tie your hair back.
Is there parking nearby?
There is no on-site parking, but there is unrestricted parking on Willarong Road off the Kingsway, a four-hour council car park on the same street, and parking at Hay Avenue and MacKay Street.
Can people with food allergies attend?
Contact the studio before booking. Traces of tree nuts, peanuts, milk and soy may be present, since all of these are handled where the chocolate is produced.
