About Messy Makers
Messy Makers runs hands-on play sessions and parties for children, programmed by qualified early childhood educators and led by an educator on the day. The idea is learning through play, building fine and gross motor skills, problem solving and teamwork, and the team travels to homes and hired venues across Sydney from its bases around Penrith and Rouse Hill. The messy play party is for children from five months to five years. You pick a theme or choose one the team has run before, and the session can include playdough, sand, mud, slime or water play in warmer months. The floor is fully covered before guests arrive, there is no charge per child, and around 20 children is the suggested limit. Older children can book Slime School with a large borax-free slime to take home, a Paint & Create party with a canvas and plaster figure, or a friendship bracelet workshop, each for ages from about four or five to twelve. There is also a hosted kids disco with lights, fog, microphones, dance games and prizes, and a spa and pamper party with mini manicures, face masks and robes for ages five and up. Each party runs for an hour, with the team arriving early to set up, supplying every material, taking photos and cleaning up afterwards so nothing is left behind. Messy play needs about five metres square and cannot go on carpet. Beyond parties, Messy Makers works with mothers' groups, corporate events, markets and shopping centres, where it can also arrange face painting, hair braiding, balloon twisting and other entertainers.

What ages are the parties for?
Messy play suits children from five months to five years. Slime, painting and bracelet parties suit roughly four or five to twelve, and spa parties suit ages five and over.
