About Bop Till You Drop

Bop Till You Drop has been running children's parties since 2003 and says it has hosted more than 50,000 events around Australia. Its core product is the structured disco party: an entertainer leads the children through dance moves, hands out microphones so they can sing, runs games unique to Bop and makes sure every child gets a prize. In 2025 it won Best Kid's Party Entertainer and Best School Holiday Provider at the What's On 4 Kids Awards. The disco is split by age. Mini Bopper suits one to four year olds with parachute, tunnel and limbo games, the Disco Popstar party is aimed at five to ten year olds, and the Tween Disco keeps things on trend for ten to 13 year olds. Themed versions include Glow, Taylor Swift, Barbie Dreamland, KPOP Demon Hunters, Glitter Bar and a character face painter disco, and there are photo booth and stretch Hummer add-on parties. Outside the disco range it runs face painting or glitter and gem parties, science, slime, plaster painting, craft, mystery and trivia game show parties. The entertainer turns up 30 minutes before the start with a PA system, disco lights and microphones, and needs a car spot plus a small table near a power point. A lounge room or single to double garage is enough space. Standard packages cover up to 20 children, larger groups are added in blocks of five, and parties can run one, one and a half or two hours. Bop also runs school discos, vacation care incursions and kids' entertainment for corporate family events.

The Basic Disco Popstar party is $399 for one hour, $429 for 90 minutes and $469 for two hours, for up to 20 children, and includes invitations, tattoos and individually wrapped lollies. The Standard package is $429, $459 or $499 and adds glitter or glow bracelets and stretchy toys. The Deluxe package is $459, $489 or $529 and adds a lucky dip pass the parcel with a prize for every child. Extra children are $45 per five kids over 20, extra time is $60 per 30 minutes, and there is a $40 midweek surcharge and a $120 public holiday surcharge. Travel is quoted on enquiry from the Ryde office.

Performance Details

Parties run for one, one and a half or two hours. The entertainer arrives 30 minutes before the start and brings a PA system, disco lights, microphones for the children, Top 40 and classic music with requests, and tattoo and lolly prizes. On longer parties there is a 15-minute food break about 45 minutes in, and the birthday cake is sung about ten minutes before the end. The host needs to provide a car spot and a small table near a power point, and a lounge room or garage-sized space is enough.
