About Bonza Amusements

Bonza Amusements, also trading as Bonza Pony & Amusement Hire, has been bringing animals and rides to Sydney events since 1990. The business is based near Rossmore in the south-west and travels to backyard birthdays, schools, fetes, council days, shopping centres and corporate family events, with a team that sets up, runs and packs down each attraction. Pony rides are the core of the business. The smallest booking is two ponies with handlers for an hour and a half, and larger bookings of four ponies run for four hours. The same ponies can be dressed as unicorns for a two-hour unicorn party. The mobile petting zoo comes as a small farm for shorter parties or a large farm for longer events, with animals that children can pat under supervision. For bigger crowds there is a trackless train, a spinning teacup ride, a mini carousel for up to five children aged two to nine, a mini fire engine that carries up to fifteen riders, and a set of small swing chairs. Any of these can be booked on its own or combined into a custom package. Pony rides and the train need a clear, flat area, and rides like the carousel and teacups need roughly five metres square. Parking must be provided for the vehicle and trailer. If rain, storms, extreme heat or poor ground make it unsafe, the team works with you to move the date or change the setup. Handlers hold NSW Working With Children Checks, the animals are health checked regularly and the business carries public liability insurance. Booking three to four weeks ahead is recommended, particularly for weekends and school holidays.
