About The South East View @ Belmont 16s Sailing Club
The South East View is the main event room on the first floor of Belmont 16s Sailing Club, on The Parade in Belmont. The club sits out over the eastern shore of Belmont Bay, so the room has an open outlook across Lake Macquarie, a cocktail bar alongside for pre-dinner drinks, free parking on site and a private jetty where guests can arrive by boat or seaplane. The room covers about 312 square metres, with another 184 square metres of undercover terrace on the east and south sides. It can be split in two: the East View seats 50 to 80 or holds up to 130 standing, and the South View seats 80 to 120 or holds up to 190 standing. Opened up as one, it seats 120 to 230, or takes up to 350 cocktail-style, and more again with the terraces. There is a private bar, a white marble dance floor, and hirers can book their own musicians or DJ. The covered terraces also work as a ceremony spot over the water, and the roof keeps rain off. The club's events team helps with theming, entertainment suppliers and menus. Celebration packages for this room start at $79 per person for cocktail parties and seated dinners alike, and a 10% deposit secures the date. Wedding packages include five hours of room hire with canapés or a three-course alternate serve, the wedding cake served as petit fours, and a four-hour beverage package. The club welcomes public bookings for birthdays, engagements, baby showers, bridal teas, anniversaries, farewells and corporate events.
