About Caves Coastal
Caves Coastal is a bar, restaurant and accommodation resort on Mawson Close, across the road from Caves Beach. Its event team hosts gatherings from about 10 guests up to 250. There are three private spaces. The Mawson Room has an exclusive deck, a long bar and a sandstone feature wall, with views over the park to the ocean, and the Nautilus Room has its own indoor and outdoor areas. Each of those two rooms seats up to 160 guests or holds about 250 for a cocktail party. The Pacific Deck, on the left side of the building, takes up to 80 standing on its private ocean-facing deck. Food ranges from platters for small groups to canapé packages with substantial items, alternate-drop set menus and share-style feasts. Drinks packages run for three or four hours, with a standard and a premium wine list and tap beer. The venue also hosts weddings, with ceremonies on the boardwalk, on the beach or on the hilltop, and receptions in the Mawson or Nautilus rooms. Conference groups have a projector, screens and rooms that divide into breakout spaces. Guests can stay over in 18 bungalows, 20 villas or 10 townhouses linked by timber boardwalks. We had a great lunch here, bar services is very slow and need attention as it was not a one off experience. Food was great and options oat the venue to engage with enough. Greta for a weekend lunch or afternoon sessions.
