About Raffertys Resort
Raffertys Resort sits on Wild Duck Drive at Cams Wharf, on a strip of land between Lake Macquarie and the ocean. The grounds cover a large spread of bushland and lawn running down to the water, with a jetty, pools and self-contained holiday homes. The main reception room looks out across the lake through a 180-degree sweep of windows. It seats 150 for a formal dinner or holds 200 for a cocktail reception, with a private bar, a large dance floor and access to the verandah. For ceremonies there are three outdoor spots: the Village Green right by the water, Raffertys Hill with its circle garden, and the leafy Arboretum. Pre-dinner drinks and canapés can be served on the hill under festoon lights. Reception packages bundle the menu, a four-and-a-half-hour drinks package and five hours of venue hire, along with the bridal, gift and cake tables, lectern and dance floor. Couples can choose a plated three-course dinner, a canapé-style reception or a shared banquet. Beyond weddings, the Lakeside Function Centre on the shoreline takes birthday parties, corporate events and other celebrations for groups of 30 or more, with menus, drinks packages and entertainment available. The resort also hosts school formals. Business groups from 10 to 160 can use two conference centres with five seminar rooms, AV equipment and wifi, plus team building on the grounds. Guests can stay over in villas, terraces and cottages sleeping four to eight.
