About Modus Merewether
Modus Merewether is the Newcastle brewery venue of Modus Brewing, on Merewether Street, where all of its beer is brewed on the premises. It opens daily from midday on weekdays and 11am on weekends, and the brewery hosts private events of all sizes, from engagement celebrations and weddings to birthdays, end-of-year work parties, launches and masterclasses. The venue has four named event areas, each sized for a different group. The Oasis suits roughly 13 to 30 guests, The Brewery space around 30 to 50, the Operandi Room about 30 to 60, and the Barrel Room around 50 to 80. For a bigger celebration the whole venue can be booked for up to 300 people. The look is an industrial brewery fitted out as a stylish event space, with the brewing tanks and barrels part of the setting. Food comes from the venue's own curated menus and drinks are built around Modus craft beer, with plenty of other options. The venue is dog friendly. Prices for functions are not published, so the team quotes each event once you send through your plans using the enquiry form on the functions page.
