About The Greenroof
The Greenroof is a corner pub on Tudor Street in Hamilton, trading since 1937 and still built around its original main bar. It mixes old brick and timber with a few playful touches, and it runs functions across four separate areas, so a group of 15 and a group of 100 can both find a fit. The beer garden is the largest space, taking 40 to 100 guests among rustic brickwork and a living green wall, with a huge screen for sport. The covered courtyard holds 25 to 40 around an indoor garden and works for a sit-down meal or a stand-up party. The dining room seats 28 beside an open fireplace, or about 35 when guests mingle, and the cocktail bar suits 15 to 20 on high tables and stools. Access from the car park entry has no steps. For 30 or more guests, food comes from the function platter menu, laid out on one long table, with dumplings, arancini, sliders, tacos and koftas among the choices; smaller groups can pre-order from the a la carte menu instead. Each area carries a food minimum plus a bar minimum that varies with the space and time of year, and you can set up a bar tab that covers exactly what you choose. The beer garden comes with a PA, microphone and a cable for your own playlist at no charge, every area has a TV for slideshows, and extras such as a private DJ, a solo musician, trivia or bingo can be added.
