About The Barrel Hall @ Earp Distilling Co.
Earp Distilling Co. is a family-run distillery on Darling Street in Carrington, the harbourside suburb where the old industrial streets meet the shipping channel. The family has Newcastle roots going back to 1883, and the gins, rums, vodka and liqueurs poured at the bar are made on the premises. Its dedicated event room, the Barrel Hall, is at the rear of the building, set apart from the distillery bar and restaurant. The hall is an open industrial room with exposed brick walls, black steel beams, a high ceiling and a bar of its own. An annex at one end can hold a stage, a breakout area or a dance floor. It takes from 30 guests up to 300 for a standing canapé party, 200 for a seated banquet or 150 in cabaret style. Room hire covers tables and chairs for up to 100, standard settings and linen, a PA system and a stage. Groups under 80 may share the hall, and the team talks through any sharing before you book. Smaller groups of 10 to 50 can be seated in the distillery bar instead, and the whole venue can be taken over for very large events. Food runs from roaming canapés (choose six) at $65 per person to banquet menus of mains and sides from $75, with two- and three-course versions at $95 and $110. Drinks can be a bar tab, pay as you go, or a three- to five-hour package from $59 per person. Extras include a grazing table, oyster bar, cocktail on arrival, champagne wall, photobooth and extended AV, and guests can add a blending class or distillery tour.

Up to 300 for a standing canapé event, 200 for a seated banquet and 150 in cabaret style. The minimum group size is 30.
Will we have the Barrel Hall to ourselves?
Exclusive use is offered for groups of 80 or more. Smaller groups may share the room, and any sharing arrangement is agreed with you before the booking is confirmed. Weddings always get the hall exclusively.

Can we play our own music or bring a band?
Yes. When you have the hall exclusively you can play your own playlist through the house sound system from a phone or tablet at no charge. Live musicians can be arranged through the venue for a fee, and any outside entertainment needs the team's written approval.
Can we bring a cake?
Yes. A cakeage fee of $3 per person covers storing, cutting and serving it with plates and cutlery. Other outside food is not allowed without written approval.
