About Merewether Surfhouse
Merewether Surfhouse stands on Henderson Parade at the edge of Merewether Beach, with ocean views wrapping around the building. Along with a beach bar, a top-floor restaurant and a rooftop bar, it has a dedicated event level on the second floor that hosts weddings, birthdays, engagement parties, reunions, christenings and corporate events. The event level is split by movable walls into the South Room (up to 90 seated or 130 cocktail) and the Northern Room (up to 150 seated or 200 cocktail), or opened up as the entire level for 250 seated or 380 standing. Each space comes with its own private bar, a balcony with alfresco lounges, a parquetry dance floor and in-house PA with device connectivity. An 85-inch or 65-inch screen, a stage and microphones can be added. Cocktail functions start with a lunch canapé package from $46 per person, rising through Bronze ($57.50), Silver ($69) and Platinum ($80.50). Seated functions are $69 per person for two courses or $80.50 for three, with canapés on arrival available. Room hire covers four hours at lunch or five at dinner: $520 for the South Room, $750 for the Northern Room and $1,100 for the entire level. Drinks packages run from $34.50 per person for two hours, or you can choose a bar tab or cash bar. Wedding packages are priced separately.
