About Butterfly Red Hill
Butterfly Red Hill sits on four acres at 138 Arthurs Seat Road in Red Hill, between two vineyards. The family-run property was once known as The Art Shed and now combines gardens, a gallery building and a farmhouse. Weddings are taken one at a time, with the farmhouse, gardens and gallery given over to the couple for their stay. There are several ceremony spots across the grounds, and the gallery spaces act as the reception room or the fallback if rain arrives. The same gallery and gardens are hired for corporate events, alongside workshops, retreats, fundraisers and photo shoots. Having rooms indoors and lawns outside means a business group has a setting that works in any season. Capacity is about 150 guests cocktail-style or 120 for a seated meal. The gallery and farmhouse have split-system heating and cooling, and the gallery and gardens have accessible paths plus an accessible toilet. For weddings the venue works as a blank canvas: couples choose their own caterer, often food trucks or a sit-down service, and supply drinks poured by professional RSA bar staff from the onsite cocktail caravan. Packages include tables, chairs, arbours and vintage furniture. The wedding curfew is 11pm, and an on-the-day coordinator is required for every wedding.
