About Vogue Ballroom
Vogue Ballroom is a freestanding reception and function venue on Blackburn Road in Burwood East, run by owners George and Angela Ross. Weddings are its main trade, but the ballroom is also hired for engagements, birthdays, school formals, university balls, gala dinners, Christmas parties and corporate events, and each booking has the building to itself, with a private car park for up to 120 cars. Guests arrive through a marble foyer, used for pre-dinner drinks and canapés, into a ballroom with a six-metre ceiling lined with chandeliers, a black, white and silver palette and silk drapery. A mezzanine balcony overlooks the floor, and couples often make their entrance from it. The room is licensed for 420 at a cocktail event, with 360 recommended for comfort, and seats 100 to 370 for dinners on round, trestle or oval tables. A 10m by 10m dance floor suits European dancing and debutante balls, the lighting can be changed to match a theme, there are ceiling anchor points for installations, and a bridal lounge and on-site ceremonies are available. The kitchen cooks a modern international menu, from canapés to multi-course dinners, and alternate drops or a single dish for every guest can be arranged. Menus can be adapted for cultural requirements and dietary needs. Corporate clients can use the room's audio-visual gear and fast internet, with technical help on hand, and security guards are on site at every event. Packages range from custom to all-inclusive, with quotes based on the date, season and guest numbers.
