About The Wolfhound
The Wolfhound is a family-run function and event space at 386-388 Brunswick Street in Fitzroy. Once a public bar, it now opens only for private bookings, and the team keeps things flexible and affordable, with modest booking fees that simply cover the costs of your event. Downstairs is the main event floor, made up of the Main Room, a lounge-style back room and a courtyard. The Main Room takes up to 120 people, with floor-to-ceiling windows onto Brunswick Street, a fireplace, direct bar access and room for a dance floor, DJs or a band. The back room is filled with sofas for guests who want a quieter corner, and the courtyard is planted with greenery, catches the sun by day and has heaters at night, seating around 50. Together the downstairs spaces suit events of 60 to 200. Upstairs, the Gallery is a separate open-plan room with its own bar, street views and its own entrance from Brunswick Street, for up to 80. The bar is fully stocked with beer on tap, wine, spirits and cocktails, and the team can source a particular drink for your night. Every event needs catering: you can bring an outside caterer, cater it yourself, or order the in-house grazing table from $20 per person, with gluten free and vegan options available. The modular furniture is moved around to suit a seated mixer, a lounge setting or a full dance floor.
