About The Greenhouse @ Welcome to Thornbury
Welcome to Thornbury is a beer garden, bar, arcade and event precinct at 520 High Street, Northcote, set in a building that spent much of the last century as a car factory. The 86 tram stops right out front at High Street and Croxton Road. The Greenhouse is the precinct's main private event room, a raw industrial warehouse filled with greenery and light. It runs separately from the busy public beer garden, with its own bar, bathrooms and AV system, so a function here feels like your own venue. The open floor can be set up for a formal seated dinner of up to 180 guests or a cocktail party of up to 400. It hosts milestone birthdays, engagement parties, Christmas parties, product launches, team days and wedding ceremonies and receptions, and DJs and entertainment are welcome. Food packages need at least 20 guests. Canapé packages run from $30 to $57 per person, and share-style banquets of smalls, mains and sides cost $55 or $75 per person, with dishes marked for gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan needs. Drinks packages are priced by the hour and cover beer, cider, wine, prosecco and soft drinks, with spirits in the higher tiers. Add-ons include prosecco and champagne towers, cocktail jugs and a tea and coffee station. The functions team helps match the space and packages to your guest list. Drinks packages run from $55 per person for three hours on the basic list to $105 per person for five hours on the premium list. Platters are $125 for 20 canapés or $190 for 20 substantial items, and a grazing table for about 50 people is $800.

Dishes are labelled for gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan diets, and the menu changes with the seasons. Grazing boards, grazing tables and dessert platters can be added.

There are basic, upgraded and premium packages for three, four or five hours, from $55 to $105 per person. Every guest needs to be on the package, and spirits are served mixed only.
Does The Greenhouse have its own bar?
