About The Rooftop @ Hobsons Bay Hotel
Hobsons Bay Hotel is a pub on Ferguson Street in Williamstown that has been part of the neighbourhood since the early 1900s, restored across three levels with a front bar and dining room downstairs, a balcony and private dining room on the first floor, and the rooftop bar on top. There is lift access to every level, including the roof. The Rooftop is the pub's main party space, looking out over the bay with the city skyline on the horizon. It holds up to 100 guests for a cocktail-style event, has its own bar, covered and uncovered sections, heating and protection from the weather in winter, TVs, and function-only toilets. Live music is allowed, though a dance floor, DJ or band reduces the capacity. The roof and balcony are licensed until 10pm, while indoor spaces can run until 1am. Smaller groups can use the balcony for up to 54 or the private dining room for up to 24. Canapé packages start at $62.50 per person for two cold and three hot canapés plus two substantials, rising to $70.50 and $79.50, with grazing tables and dessert canapés as add-ons. Drinks can be a timed package, a bar tab on consumption or a cash bar, and spirits or cocktails can be added. Minimum spends apply for exclusive use and vary by date, and a 20% deposit secures the booking.
