About Kindred Studios
Kindred Studios is an artist-owned creative hub at 3 Harris Street, Yarraville, facing Yarraville Gardens. Since 2005 it has housed rehearsal rooms, studios and a cafe, and its bar and function spaces are open to private and corporate events. Three spaces take functions. The Bandroom is a live-music room with a stage, lighting and a full bar, hired out for private events on nights without a show. The multi-level Atrium can be arranged many ways, and the outdoor beer garden catches the sun. The Bandroom holds the most people, with room for more than 250. The Atrium is often booked for milestone birthdays and dance parties, as well as exhibitions, gigs, launches and workshops, and its open levels give a party a real sense of scale. Atrium hire comes with couches, chairs, tables and other seating, a ping pong table, a projector for slideshows or speeches, and a sound system for music and announcements. Catering options are available, so there is no need to organise food separately. The bar serves a crafty drinks menu and the venue's staff look after service on the night. The ground floor rooms have no steps and a lift reaches level 1, so the building works for guests with limited mobility. There is no fixed price list for functions. Send an enquiry with your date, rough numbers and the kind of event you have in mind, and the office team will come back with availability and a quote.

Great for many performing arts events. We use one of their studios for dance. They also have a nice bar open to anyone with a stage for performing. Clean and updated venue.

Good coffee and delicious sandwiches. I had a Reuben sandwich and it was fresh and juicy. Sitting outside is pleasant and you can choose between high and low chairs. I used the new bike path to get there very convenient.
