About Riverside Kitchen & Bar
Riverside Kitchen & Bar is the bistro at the Riverside Golf Course on Newsom Street in Ascot Vale. It sits up on a hill above the nine-hole course and putting green, and the Dimattina family run it as a relaxed, Italian-leaning restaurant and bar for locals, golfers and anyone after a long lunch. There is plenty of parking on site. The function room is set up for both seated and stand-up events. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony that wraps around the room look out over the greens, so guests can spill outside for air between courses. For cocktail events the room is furnished with wicker lounges, stools and timber tables; larger dinners are set on round tables with white cloths and flowers. It seats up to 120 or takes 150 standing, has its own private bar with tap beer, and there is space to dance. A projector and screen with HDMI, complimentary wifi, an overhead speaker system for your own music, plus wheelchair access and an accessible toilet are all included. Set menus run from a two-course shared-entrée option at $45 per person up to three courses at $65 per person, with steak and salmon mains available for a small surcharge. For stand-up events there are hot and cold canapés by the piece, platters and a one-metre grazing board. Drinks can go on a bar tab with a tailored list, or on a package of sparkling, white and red wine, tap beer and soft drinks for three, four or five hours. Minimum spends apply depending on the booking, and the functions coordinator confirms these when you enquire.
