About Pelicans Landing

Pelicans Landing is a seafood restaurant, bar and function centre at 1 Syme Street in Williamstown, set in a three-storey weatherboard building with several balconies. It sits beside the Commonwealth Reserve gardens and Gem Pier, and the upper floors look over the moored yachts to Port Phillip Bay and the city skyline. The ground floor runs as a restaurant and bar seven days a week, while the level above is kept for private events and reached by lift. The function centre has two main rooms. The Pier Room seats 70 or holds 80 standing, and the Bay Room seats 100 or holds 120 standing. Book both and the full floor takes 160 seated or 250 for a cocktail event. Room hire covers a private bar, the room set for either a seated dinner or a stand-up party, and the furniture – tables and chairs, lounge seating and ottomans – dressed with white linen and tea lights. You are welcome to bring in your own styling and decorations, and the team can point you to local stylists. Weekday corporate bookings can use the rooms for meetings and breakouts in various layouts, with presentation gear available to hire. For seated events there are three set menus, served alternate drop as two courses ($115 per person) or three courses ($125 per person), with optional sides for each table. Cocktail parties use a canapé menu of six choices and twelve pieces per guest at $60 per person, and grazing tables can be added. Drinks run on a starting bar tab chosen with the functions manager. Functions are booked for four hours, music can play through the house sound system until 11.30pm, and rooms close at midnight.
