About Normanby Manor
Normanby Manor is a restored heritage house at 22 Normanby Avenue in Thornbury, run as a dedicated venue for weddings and private events. It is hired out as a whole, so the house is yours for the day. Inside, a white reception room is lit by crystal chandeliers and lined with gilt mirrors, wall sconces and tall windows. There is a bar with a lounge area beside it, while the front deck and small courtyard give guests somewhere to step outside. The venue takes groups of about 50 up to 200 guests, set up with round tables for a seated reception or left open for a cocktail party with a dance floor. It hosts weddings and engagements as well as birthdays, corporate functions, cocktail parties and christenings. All catering comes from the in-house team and is prepared on site, from relaxed grazing tables and shared feasts to cocktail menus and formal plated dinners. Guests who are vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free, or who have allergies, are looked after. The bar is well stocked and backed by a considered wine list. You are welcome to bring in your own vendors, such as stylists or entertainment, or choose from the venue's list of preferred suppliers. Standard hire gives access from 9am on the day until midnight, with the option to extend. Tours are available by appointment, and free street parking runs along the road beside the venue.
