About La Vètta
La Vètta is the signature Italian restaurant at Marnong Estate, a working farm, vineyard and winery on Mickleham Road in Mickleham. The restaurant leans on what the property grows – herbs from the estate garden, its own wines – and runs an à la carte menu alongside a multi-course Chef's Journey. A smart-casual dress code applies. For celebrations, the restaurant has two private dining rooms, the Etna Room and the Toscana Room, set at opposite ends of the dining room so each group has its own space. They are fitted out in dark timber, white linen and polished glassware; one has a wall of stacked timber rounds and a fireplace, the other a large abstract canvas. Together the private dining space seats up to 36 across two long tables. Any group of more than 15 at La Vètta dines in a private room, and wedding receptions can be held there too. Background music plays through the venue's built-in sound system, but there is no AV, no connection for your own devices and no DJs, as sound carries into the main restaurant. Private groups dine on the Experience Menu at $110 per person: olives and house focaccia to start, small plates, a pasta course, a porterhouse main with wood-oven potatoes, and dessert, with an optional $70 per person wine pairing. A minimum of 15 guests or $2,000 spend applies, no deposit is taken, and the bill is settled on the day. You can bring a celebration cake with a waiver form, choosing a $30 plateware option or a $50 service with tableside slicing, and table decorations are fine with an hour's access beforehand. The venue is fully licensed, so no BYO.
