About Ball Court Hotel
The Ball Court Hotel is a Sunbury pub that has been pouring beers for the town for more than 150 years. Alongside its bistro, sports bar and beer garden, it runs a function team that sets up birthdays, engagement parties, weddings and work events across the venue. The main private room is Jackson's Bar, which comes with its own entrance, bar, bathrooms and an open fireplace. It seats 60 for a banquet or holds 100 for cocktails, and the floor can be cleared for dancing. Add the courtyard next door and the standing figure rises to 150, with an indoor–outdoor flow. The bistro splits into an upper area for 60 seated or 120 standing and a lower section for 48 seated, or the two can be combined for 100 seated or 200 standing. For something smaller, the semi-private Mural Room takes 20 to 30 guests in front of a full-wall mural of local history. Outside, the beer garden takes in a deck, a verandah and a lawn. Sections hold up to 150, and the whole garden can be booked for a crowd of up to 450. Food runs from shared platters and a grazing table at $22 per person to a two-course set menu at $61 or three courses at $73 per person, served alternately. Dietary needs are labelled through the menus, and dietary platters can be priced on request. Drinks can be handled through timed packages, a bar tab with a limit you set, or a cash bar. Beverage packages for 20 or more guests start at $48 per person for two hours and reach $98 per person for four hours on the deluxe tier. Add-ons include a spirit upgrade at $28 per person, all tap beers at $15 per person and an arrival cocktail at $14 per person.

The grazing table spreads out cheeses, cured meats, dips, fruit, crackers and bread. The set menu offers a choice of two entrées, two mains and two desserts served alternately, and menus mark low gluten, low dairy, vegetarian and vegan options.
Beverages
A bar tab can be set to an amount you choose and raised during the event, or switched to a cash bar at any time. A tea and coffee station is $5 per person for 10 or more guests.
