The Old England Hotel is a heritage pub at 459 Lower Heidelberg Road in Heidelberg, with a bistro, a dining room, a bottle shop and several function spaces. The e.Bar is its casual bar, and the one most often hired for 21sts through to 50ths, engagement parties, farewells and Christmas functions. When you book the e.Bar for a function you get the bar and its covered, heated outdoor terrace to yourselves. It takes 100 to 180 guests for a cocktail party. There are three large flat-screen TVs for a photo slideshow, an in-house music system for your own playlist, and pool tables in the bar. DJs are welcome, and you can bring balloons and your own cake. The stone-walled lounge next door can be added for a bigger crowd, and the hotel also has a rooftop terrace for 80 to 110 and an upstairs gallery for seated dinners of 30 to 40. Food is a cocktail menu. The standard package is $26 per person and includes six items such as crumbed chicken, risotto balls, smoked salmon blinis, salt and pepper calamari, sausage rolls and mini beef pies. Extra items can be added at $5 for two pieces per person, or more filling ones like sliders and fish and chip cones at $6 each. Drinks run as a bar tab. A $300 deposit confirms the booking, final numbers are due 72 hours before, and the food account, minimum bar tab and any room hire are paid seven days ahead.

How much is the cocktail food?
The standard cocktail package is $26 per person for six items. You can add two extra pieces per person for $5, or one more substantial item, such as a slider or fish and chip cone, for $6 per person.
Can we bring a DJ, decorations and a cake?
Yes. DJs are welcome, and you can bring balloon decorations and your own cake. You can also play a photo slideshow on the three large screens and your own music through the house system.

Yes. Booking the e.Bar gives you exclusive use of its covered and heated outdoor terrace as well as the bar.
What deposit and payment terms apply?
A $300 deposit confirms the booking. Final guest numbers are needed 72 hours before, and the food account, minimum bar tab and any room hire are paid in full seven days before the function.
