About Aurora Receptions
Aurora Receptions is a reception and function venue on Donald Street in Brunswick East, across the road from a public park that couples use for photos. The same family has run it since 1990, and the owners still meet clients for venue inspections. The Aurora Ballroom is the larger of the two halls, with high ceilings, chandeliers, its own entrance and a bar. It holds 500 for a cocktail party, 400 seated without a dance floor, 300 seated with one, or 450 theatre style. La Grande is the smaller hall, with full bar access and modern furnishings. It takes 180 to 200 for cocktails, 150 seated without a dance floor, 100 seated with one, or 250 in theatre rows. Weddings are the main business, but the venue also hosts engagements, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and graduations. Corporate bookings cover end-of-year staff parties, Christmas parties, client events, product launches and conferences. All food is cooked in-house and served as a buffet or at the table, with menus spanning Indian, Nepalese, Pakistani, Middle Eastern, Italian, Asian and Modern Australian, plus custom requests. The venue is fully licensed and can arrange wedding cakes, MCs in many languages and music, so send an enquiry to book and the team will build a package around your event.
