About Ringwood Bowls Club
Ringwood Bowls Club is a big community bowls club on Loughnan Road in Ringwood, set among about four acres of greens and gardens. There are three international-size greens – two turf and one synthetic – and the clubhouse has a bright function room with high ceilings and large picture windows, a modern bar, a fully equipped kitchen and barbecues outside. Parking is easy, with around 150 off-street spaces. Barefoot bowls is the club's main draw for non-members. It runs on Friday evenings from 6pm while daylight saving is on, weather permitting, and the club hands out the bowls and some basic coaching while the bar is open and the BBQs are fired up. Walk-ins are welcome, but if you are bringing a birthday group, a Christmas party, a work event or a crowd of friends, email the venue hire manager or send the barefoot bowls enquiry form so the club can plan for you. Fridays also have a happy hour from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. For a bigger celebration the whole clubroom can be hired. It seats more than 200, has a large dance floor and comes with a PA and audio-visual setup. You can have the club arrange the catering or self-cater with the kitchen and the two outdoor barbecues. Lawn bowls can be added to a hire on a floodlit green for day or night events, depending on which greens are free, and Saturday play from September to March is subject to availability. Birthday parties are welcome, while 18ths and 21sts are considered case by case and may come with special conditions.
